But he does have significant value and is far from a throw-in. I would argue he is the first player we have seen since Gaudreau that stirs the drink for the team. Their record was much better with him in the lineup. His linemates were much better with him. He can play up and down the lineup. He still has untapped potential (perhaps as a centre).
He sets the tone in terms of work ethic and could be a future leader.
He is absolutely a core piece if you think he can stay healthy.

Exactly the problem. I give it about a ten percent chance he plays a full five years. Now for pospisils sake i hope im way off base, but he could be one concussion away from a dark room nevermind hockey. Six concussions is no joke.
