I am actively involved with the situation, at the moment work may not even begin on the repair until the weekend as there is enormous amounts of water to remove before. Exact location of the break is unknown and it thought to be in the Safeway parking lot however, there is concern that it may run under the building as well.
ENMAX is also worried about critical infrastructure being damaged, which Could have widespread power outage consequences throughout Northwest Calgary. The crews I’m working with have never seen anything like this.
