The NHL probably has to work around that schedule, for TV and arena as the NHL is at the bottom of the pecking order.
Most people in the US won't give a #### with Edmonton in the finals anyways. The entire month of June is pretty much taken up with this schedule so that tells you everything.
With McMickey and the boys in the Finals this might be a ratings disaster for ABC.

There is no reason they shouldn't have started in Florida Wednesday and Friday. Sunday and Tuesday in Edmonton. That Sunday game time you would just cater to the NBA. After that, the only conflict would be if it went to game 7, then you would have a conflict with game 5 of the NBA finals. It wouldn't be hard to jsut move that game 7 to a Tueseday, if needed.
