We can talk circles all the day long about what's valued at what but it takes to teams to make a deal and if NJ gives up 10th overall for Markstrom, then that's his value.
Thing is with historical precedents is they don't matter much if a team wants a player enough.
Ill keep going back to the Tanner Jeanot trade until the day I die on that front. That was egregious overspending for a 4th liner.
And then to a lesser but far more painful extent, I'll add in the trade of Travis Hamonic to CGY.
