Now they prob blow that on a James Neal ! But it isn’t just the picks for a player coming off their entry level contract / due a new contract . It’s the $ you are paying them
NFL figured this out a long time ago in a true cap world . Very good players wanting to be paid like stars get traded for picks every year , while teams lock up their stars and superstars
