Your arguments are crazy. Every Stanley Cup winner has several of these top pick players. Just because you could draft a bust, doesn't mean you don't want the chance at some of these players.
But by all means the Flames should continue to trade for secondary pieces like Necas instead of rebuilding. I'm sure adding Necas as one of your core players is the way for success!
