Players get hurt and players get traded. Kuzmenko and Sharangovich are not signed, we will be sellers at the deadline. If Coronato plays well, he will get a chance. This team has 0 forwards that will play 20 mins a night. I would not be surprised that we have 0 at 19+ and our leader will be 18 mins a night. Most players will get 12-13 mins a night this year.
If I wanted to put a player in a spot to play well, right now Coleman and Backlund are those players or Kadri. I think Necas is good enough to help a young player grow too.
I have 0 interest in Necas if we aren't trading other players out and I don't see any line we have that is a so called play up in the line up to succeed opportunity as we don't have a top line.
Coronato might be better off on the 4th line than playing with Huberdeau. Pretty sure he played with Huberdeau last year. In fact, as a rookie, he played 63 of his 373 mins at ES with Huberdeau and his numbers were much better away from Huberdeau.
He played 85 mins with Kadri. Sure, looks like the 4th liner got mins not on the 4th line last year??? Lines change nightly and even in game yet when projecting ice time so many panic that a player is stuck on the 4th line.

If the linemates do not matter I say put Necas on a line with Rooney and Hunt and watch that line flourish and give Coronato the minutes with Yegor and Zary. The bottom line for me is that bringing in a guy like Necas pushes out a young guy that I would rather find out if we have something with.
