Coronato will only be stuck on the 3rd line if he does not out play Zary, Pospsil and Pelleitier. At least for this year and maybe next.
Also being stuck on the 3rd line is ok when he projects to be a 2nd line player and gets to play with Backlund and Coleman.
Top teams have top players and the issue with everyone having is do we have the superstars to win. Right now, we don't and that list of don't includes Coronato. He's ok to be 2nd/3rd line player on a great team.
Florida is elite and the have the Barkov line and the Tkachuk line. Their top 6 isn't loaded with 6 elite stars, they have 2 and have other good young players in their top 9. Nothing wrong with making Coronato earn a spot in the top 9, we will be rolling 4 lines without players like Mcdavid anyways.

If the Flames were to trade for Necas and they kept Sharangovich at center they would have the following wingers ahead of Coronato based on last year
Huberdeau
Necas
Kuzmenko
Coleman
Pospisil
Zary
If the suggestion is worry not because we can move Pospisil or Zary down to the 4th line my concern would remain the same. Getting a 25 year old RW should not really be a priority for this team at this point in time IMO. Don’t mind your trade as long as it is with an eye to maximize future assets and give existing young assets the opportunity to excel. This team will not be good for 4 years anyway so they might as well roll out a top 9 with 3 veteran wingers and 3 youngster, I think that is a perfectly fine mix.
Stankoven averaged 1.21 PPG in the AHL and got a chance on a playoff team playing with offensive players. Surely Coronato who averaged 1.02 PPG in the AHL can be given a chance in a scoring role on the Calgary Flames. Stankoven even got to play on a AHL team with some talented scorers, as evidenced by the fact that they had 32 more goals than the Wranglers and had 5 players with as many or more points than the Flames highest AHL scorers.
