Coronato will only be stuck on the 3rd line if he does not out play Zary, Pospsil and Pelleitier. At least for this year and maybe next.
Also being stuck on the 3rd line is ok when he projects to be a 2nd line player and gets to play with Backlund and Coleman.
Top teams have top players and the issue with everyone having is do we have the superstars to win. Right now, we don't and that list of don't includes Coronato. He's ok to be 2nd/3rd line player on a great team.
Florida is elite and the have the Barkov line and the Tkachuk line. Their top 6 isn't loaded with 6 elite stars, they have 2 and have other good young players in their top 9. Nothing wrong with making Coronato earn a spot in the top 9, we will be rolling 4 lines without players like Mcdavid anyways.

Bringing in Necas drops Coronato to the 4th line pretty much by default.
He needs ice time, and an opportunity.
I would much rather try to develop Coronato and see what we have with him, we are going to suck anyways. We don't need Necas and Kuzmenko blocking young players, and getting us 8-10 points in the standings.
