Rasmus is a good player, but he lost his PP spot. Without that he's a dman that isn't really a top shut down dman, great on the PK and good for 30-40 points. He barely gets 50 playing the top pp role, today's NHL has 20ish 50-point dmen per season. His career year is barely good for top 20 in a prime-time situation with all the prime minutes playing with 2 100-point guys. 1 had 115 points.

Carolina has to trade Necas too because they have 4 forwards who are already better than him (5 if they sign Guentzel) so he is redudant in some ways.
