If things broke their way they could have 4-6 picks in the top ten of the draft over 3 years. That would almost certainly set them up to be a pretty good team for an extended stretch. They also have a number of other players they could trade for other picks (some who may garner another first round pick or two). Not sure I can think of a single team that has as many marketable assets that they could trade to start a rebuild off right.

I think that’s awfully optimistic. Keep in mind this time last year a lot of people were thinking the Flsmes would have 2 or 3 first round picks in the ‘23 draft…..
The goalie market, trade wise, seems to be a bit bloated. Ulmark,Sarros, Gibson, Gustavson, are all names that are out there and there’s probably more. Of the teams that are interested in a goalie, NJ appears to be the only one that
might move a top 10 pick. Perhaps LA or Toronto will dangle their first but that seems unlikely given what 1st round picks are moved for these days. Or, at least, the Flames likely have to add to Markstrom. Does a 2nd and Markstrom get you LA’s 1st, or Toronto’s?
Also, Flames history would suggest they won’t be in a rush to trade Andersson this offseason. I’d be surprised if there’s any credence to the discussion that the Flames would consider moving him outside of Andersson telling them he would like to be traded.
I think the Flames will/should move Markstrom’s at the draft but I sudpythd return will be more in line with what we saw in the Toffoli and Tanev deals. A player with some upside and a pick.
