Maybe we can let the off season play out before predicting the flames position in the standings 11 months from now. As bad as the team was end of year, they have 20m in cap space and only about 2-3spots to fill. Surplus draft picks, and lots of players/ prospects with unrealized upside. If this team pieces together a competent defense and comes out with the powerplay they ended the season with, playoffs would be a lock in the pacific.
Of course they could stink and finish bottom 5. Hard to tell.
