Changing demographics plays a huge part it in. We have a lot more older drivers who seem to love being a hindrance to other drivers. The longer it takes to make a left turn the better. No wonder we no long have yield on green lights.

And we have people new to the country. While I generally welcome them they often come from countries with little driving culture and are taking driving/delivery jobs out of necessity.

I've said it a million times but there's also the fact that we're all driving bigger vehicles. Lines at lights are that much longer so getting into turning lanes is harder and good luck getting people to exit/enter a parking lot without using at least 3/4 of the available space.
