So no, I can't imagine Conroy making that move, and I won't even concern myself with that being a direction they're even considering. Maybe it is Necas, but certainly cannot be talking about 9OA.

This is ultimately why the Flames trying to re-tool and trading assets for "younger" players will just not work.
The only players they are going to get, at best, are players like Necas who have fallen out of favour with their current team (and they must also be questioning his potential), will no longer be on a cheap contract, and really aren't all that young anymore.
