I think Conroy saw Sharangovich's best season this year. In other word, his value is at highest this year and I think it will not rise much in the future.
So if he wants to sign up to 4 years deal in Calgary with fair value, sure we better sign him. He can play winger and Centre and one of few players who can shoot.
But he wants to chase the cup or money we will be forced to trade him like all our FAs last season.

And If we trade players for draft picks, I would like trade them for 2025, 2026, 2027th draft picks.
It gives us an opportunity to get better draft picks and add more young players next 2-3 years. No need to draft 10+ players in one year.
Meanwhile we find out what we have in our current prospect pool.
