Bit of a sobering, depressing read. I feel for young people looking to enter into the home ownership world in this province; it's absolutely unreachable for many, which never used to be the case prior to even five years ago. The wealthy class / rental agencies buying up all the real estate in a market of limited supply has really done damage to this demographic - amplified when people who don't even live here are buying up the property. The growing wealth gap is causing greater, and unsustainable, problems.

That article is a joke. Dude covered neck to toe in tattoos, knocked up some random chick, broke up with some other chick at 40 and now lives at home. Yeah, this guy had a good 15 years during his adult life to buy an affordable home at basically free interest rates.
I absolutely feel for younger people and their plight to buy a home, but this guy is not in that camp. Add up the cost of all his ink and that's a down payment. Maybe wear a condom or settle down before getting somebody pregnant and you'll probably have enough for two down payments.
Give me a break. They should be profiling the people a decade his junior that would have been able to buy a house at any point had they been born earlier, but are unable to now as interest rates have spiked and house prices have gone insane just as they are getting started in life.
The 40-year-old tatted up long hair with an illegitimate kid? He's exactly where I'd expect him to be.
