Sequencing is important. Building depth before acquiring stars, lessens your chance of drafting the stars.
Also, we should just use our picks to draft our own Jeannot-type players in later rounds.
It’s best to build through the draft on all fronts, and in my eyes that should mean you do not trade draft picks at this stage of the building process. Look at the Ohktohuik (sp…?) trade - it’s easy to justify blowing a 5th on a player and not having it work “because there’s a chance”, but once those type of trades start stacking up what you’ve done is robbed your building process of the opportunity to actually build something of worth.
