The thrill of actually being able to get on the green in a timely fashion now fades pretty quickly as soon as I take my first putt and realise it’s happening again. I’m not really overthinking about it nor do I take it that seriously that I’m stressing about it, it’s just comically bad lol. Maybe I’m under-thinking it?
Any tips that helped would be great.

I am not a good golfer either. But have golfed with some decent players. One of the better tips I received was to try and get your first put within 4 feet of the hole. I know, it sounds silly and obvious, but don’t worry about sinking the first put, just make sure you get it to where you can sink the second one.
Works for me (not all the time!).
