We were thinking about moving already, but that pretty much sealed that our next place would be detached, even if it meant sacrificing something else. Neighbors will always be a crapshoot, and you can still get crappy neighbours with a detached house... but there is at least some separation, and perhaps even more importantly, you're not financially tied at the hip.
