Depends on what the value of 10 million bucks is to the owner. He is a guy who has a reputation of squeezing every nickel out of the budget. If 10 million bucks is worth a slightly lower return on Necas maybe he does it. On every team, at the end of the day to varying extents, the owner is the GM. Not every hockey decision is a hockey decision. If I was the Flames I would definitely do Necas and JK.
The Flames could give JK two years to prove his worth and then if he sucks buy him out for 6.8 million cash and 850K on the cap for 8 years in a worst case scenario.
