I don't know if you can go back to Skinner at all. In 20 career playoff games he's got a 3.49 gaa and a 8.81 svpct.

That's not a small picture either. For some reason, Skinner is the anti Billy Smith. While Smith was a money goalie, Skinner just can't take the pressure.

Do you gamble with it? I don't think you can. I think at this point, you simply have to go with Pickard, who has played decently, but beyond being a journey man, that doesn't have a lot of playoff experience, and is going to be facing enormous pressure playing in a elimination game at home. Has he played 3 games in a row in the last couple of years?

Was last night a choke by the Oilers, yeah sure I'll go there, but its more along the line of Tocchet who's up for the Jack Adam's flexing his coaching muscle last night and Kbobby showing his inexperience in this series.

The Canucks looked like an awesomely coached team last night. The Oilers looked frustrated with their power play and with the Canucks taking away McDavid's speed, and there were no real adjustments.

But to give Edmonton's coach credit, he certainly managed to squeeze maximum sewer juice out of the turd this year, because frankly The Oilers blueline, goaltending and bottom 6 continue to be a weakness, and he has two selfish stars who are loosely familiar with their defencemen, to play defence this year, not well but still.

Now the question is as the noose gets tighter around the Oilers neck, do McDavid and Draisaitl do what they usually do when things aren't working and ignore the coach and play their way while McDavid glares angrily at his team mates?

I vote yes.

My thoughts, The Oilers come out like a house on fire, but can't get the lead, the Canucks score a couple of goals in the second period, on a ridiculously few shots. Knobby makes the change to Skinner, Mcdavid throws a pouty spazz on the bench, and starts hanging out at the blueline. The Oilers score 1 giving the fans hope. Then Lindholm scores on a dump in and the ice is covered in a flurry of Oiler Jersey's. Drasaitl and McDavid isolate themselves on the bench not talking to anyone. Knobby goes down to talk to his stars and they tell him to pound sand. Then McDavid scores on a individual effort. The Oilers empty their net, and the Canucks score the equivalent of a 360 degree tomahawk heart breaking fancy empty net goal to put it away.

The Oilers after the handshake stand at center ice, but the fans are in no mood and boo the crap out of them. McDavid puts his hand on Draisait's shoulder and says "Lets go" leading to terrified fan speculation for the next 5 months. Draisaitl leaves the ice with his middle finger held high, and its glorious.

And that my friends isn't a prediction . . . its a spoiler.
