I bet they buy him out around then, just to get someone useful in and some cap relief. The 900k for 4 years after is negligible.
Or they cap dump him and pay the price in assets

We really dont have extra spaces. Previous poster showed it. There's only 6 top 6 spaces. Can't waste two of those to get a soft old middle 6 winger from 50-70 points.

It's throwing good money after bad.

They save 10% of his contract, and that little cap space. I doubt they buy him out.

They really have extra spaces, as the lineup is littered with guys that can come or go. Like it or not, Calgary is reloading, and that means if they can get a relatively cheap player who helps get Huberdeau going, they'll jump at it. Conroy has said as much.
