I think sometimes disappointment gets factored in. While the player might not have been absolutely terrible, when you are expected to be an impact player and don't deliver, it gets magnified more than the tweeners and stop gap players that were always going to be nothing more than warm bodies.

Yeah, I mean someone mentioned Hamonic, who was nowhere near the worst defenceman to play for the Flames. It's more about his impact on the team as a whole.
Titov was one of my favorite players. Worked hard, was pretty effective at his job.
