Vancouver sits back in most of their games. Must be part of Tocchet's approach, but it doesn't make a lot of sense. Not only that, they give away possession to the other team when the puck is recovered instead of holding on to it and setting up to make a rush of their own. It comes off like intentional rope a dope or an extended PK..

I can't understand what Tocchet is thinking here when they have depth they do, and yet they're 2-2 in the second round and could easily be up 3-1.

Just imagine where they'd be if they were executing the offense-first approach they had in front of Demko, with Demko.

I think they're a superior forechecking team to Edmonton when they're actually trying to do it.

You saw it in period 1 of the prior game. They exposed the Oilers. Why not just stick to that? Seems Tocchet is adverse to doing the run and gun style with Edmonton but at the same time is neutering his own team's offense.
