Sam wasn’t a 4th line plugger, that’s on Treliving. He needed a heavier hand with the coaches.
I don’t think any of that rubbed off on Tkachuk. He was developed just fine. Someone said we played him as a checker. He played on the Backlund line for 3 years and was used on the top pp unit. Peter’s recognized in his 2nd season that he needed better depth and switched it up. That’s when Covid started. 1 year was wasted on some dumb bubble for 56 games playing the same team over and over again. We got his career year after but he wanted out. Don’t think it would work with him and Darryl.
I don’t think he was misused or treated.
