That's what I've always done in the past but it leaves clippings all over the side of our garage, leaves a green mark in the concrete when trimming against the foundation, damages wood retaining wall features and doesn't trim inside corners well.
Cosmetic issues aside, string trimmers also leave chunks of plastic all over the place.
So, has anyone tried out something like this?
