From what I have been able to dig up as far as the situation with Marner goes is what I have said all along, he doesn't want out of Toronto at all and wants to stay. If Treliving can convince Marner to accept a trade it will have to be a team of Marner's choosing and it will have to come with a long term extension agreed to or a sign and trade. Marner has all the power here, Tree is not going to let him walk to free agency for nothing, if he wants to stay he pretty much has the team over a barrel.
