I guess that's just something about the show I got let go. The aliens gave them magic tech. I prefer a sophon by itself and everything else being more grounded. That's scarier to me.

Fair point. The sophon being limited to collecting data, projecting images, etc.. explains why the aliens don't just take over the planet now.
Maybe the Trisolarans just have sweet workout routines?
