Not saying Marner but the Flames need a star player who plays like a star...like 90+ point player. I know you guys want to suck for 5 or 6 years but it will be the death of the franchise. People need a reason to come watch, buy jerseys ect. Flames can't lose a generation of kids.

Before the "suck and draft one" crowd chimes in I know...and hopefully both things happen but IMO the Flames don't have that luxury to just be absolutely terrible like SJ.

Even in the worst of the worst days we had Theo, Iggy, ect. IF someone could get Marner at a value price it could be smart, I never buy the can't play in the playoffs crap...it also takes offence to get there. My guess is Marner is on a deep run with a US team within a couple years...Leaf fans Pokemon face.
