According to Vegas odds the Oilers are the favorite to win the west and favorites to win the cup. Will they? Probably not. But any team left very well could make a run.

Todays odds are based on wagering throughout the season, and if the Oilers are favored it just means that the public has bought into the hype and are betting on them.
Vegas/books sets odds at the beginning of the season and they get adjusted from there.... everyday.
No idea or at least i dont remember who the sportsbooks installed at the beginning of this year and it could have been the greasers, but since that time its the bettors that have decided who they think will win....not some deep thinking/analytical/nonbiased source.
All that aside,and after watching that Nucks/Preds series, i see no possible way Vancouver beats the Oilers.
THat was some horrendous hockey that will only work against offensively limited teams. Edmonton is not that.
