As for the over-the-top love for McDavid from the panel, it is annoying. But they did that with Crosby too. We were just a bit more immune to it because most of us don't hate Pittsburgh as much as Edmonton.
I agree with you on waiting for McDavid to leave asap. Then at least we can maybe just appreciate a pretty good player.

Crosby led his team to the cup at the age of 21 and Canada to an Olympic gold at 22. He added 2 more cups by the age of 30 and another gold at 26.
Mcdavid is 27 and hasn't made a final yet.
The media should gush about him like Crosby when he does something like Crosby.
But I get your point about how homerish and twisting some posters are.
