That may be true, my point was just that I don’t think that Utah would have any interest in Marner. A Coleman, Andersson, Van 1st package would be more appealing to them I would think. They could use a guy like Coleman as well, a proven winner who plays a 200 foot game to teach their young players.
I just think the new owner will want to be a playoff team in year one. And they definitely have the draft capital (either already drafted guys or draft picks) to make some serious moves. I am not sure the Flames are in full rebuild mode but if they are even thinking about it they should look at Utah. The Flames have about 4-5 assets I could see Utah being seriously interested in.
