I don’t think Utah would move the 6th for any of Calgary’s players or collection of players outside of something absurd.
I think Hayton is pretty close to the type of young C Conroy has alluded to targeting. He’s also got a 19 goal season under his belt as a 22 year old (I believe). Could be an interesting player.

If I was Utah I would prefer a 7 million dollar a year Rasmus signed longterm over a 12-13 million dollar a year Marner. Markstrom makes them competitive for the playoffs in year one. And they have a number of forwards already that look like they could be top six for a longtime. Their need is much greater on the backend (especially if they want to be competitive now) than it is up front.
They have Keller who is a PPG guy, they have Schmaltz who is a solid 60 point guy. Cooley likely takes another step next year and within a couple years is a PPG guy. guenther scored at a 33 goal, 64 point pace this year. Macelli looks like he could be a 60 point guy. Don’t see the need in the top six. I do see the need on the backend and in goal.
