I get that the referees will be directed by the NHL head office to favour the Oilers, but it realistically can’t be any worse than the 22-13 power play discrepancy that Vancouver already faced against Nashville, including a 7-2 discrepancy over the final six periods and that ridiculous game management penalty after Suter scored in Game 6. (Keep in mind that the Nashville power play was second best in the NHL from the All Star break to the end of the regular season, converting on 27.2% of its chances. So, I’m sure the NHL brass is still scratching its head and wondering how the Canucks were able to overcome the zebra bias with a strong PK and win that series.)
Oh, the things Gary Bettman does to ensure Canada will never win a Cup again.
