It’s not a pointless word but the misuse of the word

Its ridiculous how many people use this word in the stupidest contexts I recall one time…this girl told me this story I was so frustrated
“So like I was at the bar this weekend and I like dropped my licenses and my bank card so I was like freaking out and looking for it and than I found it in like the middle of dance floor where I was dancing….how random is that?!”
“Well not random at all considering it was lost and you found it where you were before”
“Well yeah I guess but it was like totally Random”
