Personally I think the Oilers have been extremely poorly managed for a very very very long time, but so have the Flames. A lot of time I think each fan base looks at each other pissing and moaning when in reality we are both losers. Misery loves company so to speak.
Both franchises had the most success when both were fantastic teams, success and competing against it makes everybody better.
If Edmonton is able to do some damage, it may provoke ownership and management to quit messing around.

The difference is the attitude towards the “luck” they have had. They act like they’ve gotten all those 1st overalls because they somehow deserve them. And then even when they lose because they have zero balance across their lineup, they blame the refs or Bettman. The flames have had none of the luck that the oilers have had. Never had a top 3 pick, picked 4th once and 6th twice? If we had squandered multiple 1st overalls the same way, then yes I would agree with you
