He'd be ideal, but evolving hockey predicts a 3 year deal at 4.6 for him. So might be hard to attract him without term unless you pay like 6 to get him.
Usually with one year deals you're looking at guys like Klingberg or Dumba. Someone coming off a rough season needing to reassert themselves. If you can find that player, give them a chance to play, than flip em. Tyson Barrie might fit the mold of guy needing to rebuild himself. But he might not be a guy that can be rebuilt to something a playoff team might trade for.
