I’m sure they exist but it feels like there are barely any steals for big forwards while there seems to be a smaller guy that is a steal every draft.

Every team would love big skilled fast forwards, but they are rare and go in the top half of the 1st round.
Small players aren’t drafted because they are small they are taken because they have skill.
Big players are take in later rounds because they are big.
You can find players like Point, Kucherov , Gaudreau in later rounds. What you won’t find is a Rantanen or Thompson. There is a reason they are taken that early.
