In Kayfabe doesn't that happen every week and is not big deal.
It's also kind of weird structure.

The AEW Hardcore fans largely sided with the Young Bucks and Perry in the CM Punk incident...so them being labelled as heels for that audience because of the CM Punk incident's is weird. These fans look positively of Perry and don't see him as a heel at all. (Think they have actually pushed back against this EVP angle / Bucks as heels due to that)

And they aren't going to attract the CM Punk fans that left and gave them a bump when they showed the video by continuing with this faction / storyline, it will actually probably push them away more.

There is some truth I guess to the Bucks / Perry vs TK angle...since they were suspended for long periods of time. But the whole thing comes off really forced and unbelievable. Tough for me to buy that Bucks and Tony are feuding and don't like one another.

Really I think they should have actually had Perry come back as more of a "Martyr" than a "Scapegoat". Have him come back and brag about being the hero that AEW needed to rid the company of the poison that was infecting the company.

Don't explicitly call it out as "AEW Originals" vs "Ex WWE" but have him continue to have fueds with some of the EX WWE guys that fans maybe aren't loving and having a really aggressive attitude towards them, (Keith Lee, Miro, Alestair Black, Adam Cole,

Maybe that's actually the way they go here (have YBs and Perry have heat with TK for signing all these ex-WWE wrestlers) but it seems a bit forced to be entwining Tony Kahn into it TBH and could have been done without him.
