$1M of AAV for every 10 points of production has generally been the value for a player.
Over the past 2 seasons as a Canuck Joshua has averaged 32 points per 82 games played. And he's only 28 which is relatively young for a UFA.
These are guys who were 27 or 38 years old that had similar contract season production to Joshua.
Frank Vatrano - $3.65M - 32 points in 71 games
Alexander Kerfoot - $3.5M - 32 points in 82 games
Pierre Engvall - $3.0M - 30 points in 76 games
Miles Wood - $2.5M - 27 points in 76 games
Oskar Lindblom - $2.5M - 26 points in 79 games
Joshua had 32 points in 63 games this year (41 point pace)
He's getting around $3.5M as a UFA for sure based on recent comparables, and I wouldn't be surprised if somebody gave him $4M x 3 or something like that.
