Yup, as someone with diverticulosis and IBS, knowing about fodmaps have been a game changer for me. I don't totally adhere to low fodmap foods but I definitely am conscious of how much fructose, lactose, or really any related oses I eat. As well as eating a high fibre diet and limiting my gluten.
I still eat like #### at times but can turn it around when I start to feel a little crappy. Getting a full blown diverticulitis attack(enough to go to the hospital) is not fun.
Getting old's a bitch when you enjoy food!
