Having said that, they shouldn't be deported either way. They deserve to be in jail assuming they are proven guilty. Deporting them, to probably where the money is, wouldn't be much of a punishment.

Not too sure about that but either way we dont know if they hold dual citizenship and they could be born in Canada.
When someone's first thoughts are to deport without even knowing someone's citizenship or place of birth that just screams racism to me. If they were from Sweden or ukraine nobody would mention deportation.
