It seems common that junior aged players need to work on their defensive game, especially ones that provide a lot of offense. This is kind of where the scout really need to dial it in and make an educated decision on the player's coachability and attitude to predict whether they will improve. When I see a player with gaudy offensive number and the knock on them is their defensive play, it doesn't set off crazy alarm bells.
I have seen the scouting reports for Parekh that say he is very one-dimensional at this point, but there are things about his character that suggests he is also a dedicated and hard worker.
