Vegas is and has become the market where the team will say we will pay you a reasonable, market offer and the city/team/lifestyle will speak for it's self. The perks. This Vegas scenario will continue to be a thorn in the side for a lot of teams. Players want to be there, their families want to be there, the wives and the girlfriends love it. The practice/training facility is literally 5 minutes from where virtually all the players live. It was designed like that. Friends and family of the players and their spouses will want to come and visit and stay for longer periods of time, making transitions and moving scenarios easier. The airport is close.

This is all on top of weather, taxes, lifestyles, the women (let's be real for the male players) and entertainment options. Hanafin signed so quickly because now that he saw what it's like there, this is pretty good! He and his wife are expecting a baby soon and really wanted to be on the east coast, closer to family. That kinda took a back step in some ways with Vegas.

Where do they mostly live? I know there's a bunch of nice communities.
