Arencibia is more or less crap

More or less they all suck except the first guy.

LOL, 1 day after the draft and some of them are already write off....

21Arencibia, JonathanU TennesseeCR/R6'01"2101986-01-05JR

Hitting Ability: He is all about the bat. Arencibia profiles as an offensive-minded catcher

Power: He showed plus raw power in BP, but didn't show much during the games over the weekend. The cold weather probably didn't help.

Running Speed: Arencibia is athletic for a catcher, but running is not his strongest tool.

Arm Strength: Arencibia's strongest defensive tool, his arm strength is slightly above-average.

Fielding: Arencibia's overall defensive play was a tick below average, but he should be able stay behind the plate.

Physical Description: Arencibia is a strong, athletic catcher.

Medical Update: Healthy.

Strengths: His bat. He has plus power potential and has shown an advanced approach at the plate.

Weaknesses: His defense. While he can throw well, it won't be his glove that will carry him through to the Majors.

Summary: Heading into the year, the Tennessee backstop was on the short list of top college catchers in the draft class. A nagging back injury has really hampered his production and given scouts some cause for concern. Still, he’s got some track record and has performed very well for Team USA in the past. He’s no longer in the first-round mix, but still should go in the first few rounds.
