Yeah, I totally agree with the penalty. You cant change your braking points by 50-100m (based on Sky data reports) when Russell has been following within a couple seconds for 10+ laps. Especially through T6-7. It was apparently a lift, then a light tap on the brake, and reacceleration. But Russell isnt expecting it, by the time he does he's right on Alonso's gear box and near the apex/turn-in so hitting the brake has predictably scary results.
If it was similar to Saudi and Max/Lewis on a straight...thats somewhat avoidable...this was dangerous and Alonso should know better.
