Nike swoosh in the oval is the branding when Nike uses or used to use in the 90s on their cheaper apparel. Also was used on their first entry into hockey gear. It looks terrible on both, a regular swoosh miles better.
Two tone red, terrible. Logo and branding placement, why different between the two? What's with the white on the collar of the red. Is it supposed to be a C?
White version, again the weird swoosh. Stripes are ok, and a bit retro, but even though 13 stripes represent provinces and territories, they could've done it a better way. Maybe all striped but make these 13 stripes thicker? Whatever, this looks half finished.
Same font for name and number as previous kits.
Kits for 2026 can't look any worse, I guess.
US ones came out today too and you can tell a lot more attention was paid to them and the details.
Edit: Saw the pics with the shorts. Shorts are busy, have that awful swoosh, and, like the Flames and other NHL unis from the Reebok Edge refresh in 2006 there's a stripe on the shorts that lines up with the stripe on the side of the jersey. CFL had this look too, a decade ago.
Seems as if we got the Nike intern who wasn't good enough to redesign the MLB disasters. Of course, the CSA/CSB had to add input and sign off on the final design.
First thing that new secretary general should've done if serious about rebranding the tire fire of a CSA, is redo the CSA logo. A soccer ball hasn't looked like that in a FIFA match since 1974. I assume it will be redone for 2026.
