I see Hanifin as a good #2 dman. Jfresh stats give a 67% war. He states, with great accuracy imho, “ Noah Hanifin, acquired by VGK, is a mobile puck-moving defenceman who typically plays at a top-pairing level. He could certainly continue to grow as I believe he did here. He rates his EV defence at 40%. I think this is the rub. He doesn’t score quite enough to be elite. He doesn’t defend well enough to be elite.
Are difference makers HOF material? I think the definition is subjective. He rarely puts the team on his back, but his skillset was good enough the draw interest from most good teams.
