I don't know about the people who think Vegas is going to come crashing down to earth, they have shown more than enough in their short time, they are smart, driven, aggressive and demand a culture of winning from the top.

Vegas is quickly becoming the premier place to play for a lot of players. Sure we like to think places like Florida and Tampa are but they have had a lot of issues over the years. Florida was a dead franchise very recently.

Vegas has the support, the weather, the taxes, the nightlife, lifestyle, ownership, players facilities literally 5 minutes from where the players live and a lot more.

I have no issues with the Flames being tough in business but if they are getting cocky but NOT making moves with American players and premier NHL agents, it's a problem.

We may need to have serious conversations about drafting American players from the east coast as we seem to have issues signing them. Winnipeg makes it a key to try and draft players from Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and other mid west places. They feel it's beneficial from a travel perspective (families etc) somewhat similar people and weather as opposed to other American places.
