Yes, Hanifin could still get a 8 year deal in Tampa if Vegas does a sign and trade.
But Vegas isn't going to do it out of the kindness of their hearts. They are going to want something in return.
And Tampa probably wants the 8th year as it probably lowers the AAV of the contract instead of a 7 year contract. Question is how much they value that AAV reduction and if that will be in the ball park of what Vegas is asking.
